About Doctor Kfir Tal
Dr. Kfir Tal is a senior ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He has unique expertise in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
Dr. Tal currently serves as the Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Clalit Medical Center in Herzliya. He has extensive international experience, having worked as an ophthalmologist in several hospitals in Israel and England. He graduated with honors in glaucoma and cataract surgery from Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals in London, UK. Prior to his current role, Dr. Tal was a senior physician at Rabin Medical Centers (Beilinson-Hasharon) and Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Israel.
Dr. Tal completed his medical degree (MD) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Hadassah Medical Center. Additionally, he holds an MBA with a specialization in Health Systems Management from Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Tal has experience as a clinical instructor at Tel Aviv University, where he guided students and interns in Israel and abroad. He has published academic articles in the medical literature and presented at international conferences. Furthermore, he serves as an examiner for the qualification exam for ophthalmologists.
Dr. Tal performs surgical operations, laser treatments, cataract surgeries, and glaucoma procedures at Assuta and Medica medical centers in Tel Aviv. He also runs private eye clinics specializing in glaucoma and cataracts, where he provides diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care, and second opinions.
